This is a Christmas Tree!
It is not a Holiday Tree...
It is not a Winter Festival Tree...
It is a Christmas Tree.
SAY IT...Christmas, Christmas, CHRISTmas!
Yes, Christmas--NOT holiday...
We are not celebrating the birth of a holiday...
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ!

So I would like to say to each and every one of you…

Have a very Merry Christmas, and may God bless each and every one of you!

CHRISTMAS 2014

Well, the 2014 Christmas season is well under way. The day after Thanksgiving I officially gave it a kick off by putting up some outdoor Christmas lights, and over the course of the week-end, I decorated my home with the usual tree and Christmas stockings (1 each for me, my husband Tony, our Border Collie April, the newest member to our family, a Golden Retriever named Dakota, age 5 months, and all of our 21 cats, Kitten, Miss Bentley, Ebby, Princess, Kalani, Shorten' Bread, Roundhead, Milo, Tweet, Mighty Mite, Little Girl, Rachel, Cupcake, William, Mary-Margaret, Grace, Sherbert, Star, Gwen, Chuii and Henry Charles!)

As you all begin the celebration of the season, please remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

Now let's get ready to celebrate the BIGGEST birthday party in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHRISTMAS 2013!

Well, the beginning of Christmas season is almost here! "Officially" it begins the day after Thanksgiving. They call it "Black Friday." Ever wonder why they call it that? Because Christmas time and Christmas shopping puts many if not most retail stores in the "black," meaning, they are finally making a profit, as opposed to being in the hole, or in the "red." Makes sense, doesn't it? But you know what gets me about the whole thing? It's how Christmas is demeaned and attempts made to reduce it to "the holidays." Intentional attempts to make the real meaning of Christmas just go away; all the while applauding the commerciality of the "holiday."

As I was driving to my hair appointment this morning I was listening to "The Spirit of Christmas" radio on channel 100.1 FM. It is a Christian station and it plays a wonderful variety of Christmas music, from the old favorites like Silver Bells and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, to traditional Christmas carols, plus contemporary Christmas songs from a purely Christian point of view. And as I drove along, listening, I told the Lord that this is what Christmas is all about...You Lord Jesus! (As if He didn't know that already, lol!) Focusing on Christ and the reason He came to earth in the first place is the real spirit of Christmas, and the real reason for the "holiday." Don't get me wrong; I love all the hoopla, good spirit, food candy, etc that goes along with the celebration; but without Jesus, it's all meaningless!

So please remember this year that Jesus is the reason for the season! And I hope you enjoy my previous blogs if you are new to my site, and the new ones I will post this year, Lord willing.

So let's get read to celebrate CHRISTMAS!!!
